Wholesale Freshie Policies

What are car freshies? Freshies are car air fresheners that hang from your rear view mirror. They last longer than traditional car fresheners and are each handmade. Generally they last between 3-5 weeks.

How much are they? The easiest place to see pricing is on this website. Pricing ranges from $5.25-$8, which is wholesale pricing. These retail for $10-$16 depending on your market.

What is your turn around time? 4-10 business days. Please click here to see our calendar for holidays and non-business days.

How much is shipping? Shipping is calculated based on quantity ordered.

Who can order? Business owners who are looking for items to resell to their customers are able to purchase. Individual customers purchasing for personal use are not eligible.

What’s your minimum? 10 items, mix and match any designs. First time customers can order 5 freshies to ensure that the freshies are a good fit for their business and what they are looking for.

How do I order? Order directly from this website or you can wait for ready to ship drops, which happen in our Facebook Group: Freshie Wholesale- Retail by Hales.

How do I earn free freshies? You can earn 1 free freshie with every $100 spent (not including shipping costs). These will be randomly included when your order is packed. 

Should I purchase Route protection? Absolutely! Retail by Hales is is not responsible or liable for lost, stolen or damaged orders that DO NOT have ROUTE SHIPPING PROTECTION. Orders without coverage will be directed to contact USPS. Please protect your purchases by purchasing Route protection.

 How are freshies packaged? These come in special bags to preserve their scent. Their scent will last for at least 2-3 months when kept inside the bags and be ready for use! Each freshie also comes on an elastic string and a warning and scent label. Labels are white label, meaning that they do not include any business information.

How are freshies hung? Full sized freshies are hung using a hole or two in the freshie. This is the most secure way to hang freshies and helps prevent any damage during hot months. Vent clip freshies are hung using a small eye hook pushed into the top of the freshie. 

Can I choose the colors? No. Colors will be chosen that coordinate with the chosen design. Colors will likely vary from what is pictured. If it is something like a snowman, a cow, the Grouch, or any other design that needs to be a certain color to make sense, it will be that color. You won't receive a blue snowman! I try to include pictures that show options you may receive to give an idea of color differences.

Some of my freshies have a curve to them. Is that normal? Yes! If your freshie is a card stock freshie- where the freshie has a printed design laid over the beads- it may have a curve to it. This bend is perfectly normal and does not impact your freshie. It's caused by the beads shrinking as they are melted while the paper stays the same size. This includes freshies like arrowheads, drip cans, jean jackets, and more. This curve does not happen from packing them tightly in the box, or heat when shipping, which is a common misconception.

How thick are your freshies? My freshies are about .25 inches thick. This is considered a medium thickness for freshies. I do this for a few reasons: 1- if a freshie is too thin, the scent won't last because it evaporates quickly. 2- If a freshie is too thick, it's too heavy and the weight pulls it off the string. 3- Thicker freshies don't last longer than medium thickness ones because many of the beads aren't exposed to the air, which prevents any scent evaporation. That results in wasted beads without any impact on scent quality or longevity. 

Can I choose what scents are included? Yes.

How long will they last? About 1 month or more! They will be very noticeable for the first 1-2 weeks then slowly fade over time, just as a traditional air freshener would. The difference is that the overall scent lasts for a month instead of a week or two. In the summer they are more noticeable but lose scent quicker. In the winter the scent is lighter but they last longer.

Can freshies melt? Yes, but it doesn't happen often. In hot summer months, especially in direct sunlight, your car may get hot enough to melt a freshie off its string. To prevent this, you can use a sunshade (making sure the freshie is not between the sunshade and the windshield), park in the shade, or move your freshie to the blinker so that it's out of direct sunlight. I've noticed that Black Mazdas are freshie killers- their interiors get extremely hot during summer months. 

Do I need a tax ID? No, but you must be a business owner. These are not for personal purchases. 

I don't feel these freshies are a good fit for my business. Can I return my order for a refund? No, I do not accept returns or exchanges. I offer a smaller MOQ for first time customers so that you can see if these freshies are a good fit before purchasing larger amount. My goal is always to have satisfied customers but I know that everyone is looking for different things in a freshie supplier and that mine aren't always the best fit for every business!
